Manufacturer-stated penetration data. Maximum penetration at reduced welding speed is not the same as standard-speed working penetration. Application-specific weld performance must be verified.
Welding Capability and Process Control
Penetration figures are meaningful only when material, welding speed and joint conditions are identified. The standard-speed and reduced-speed figures shown above serve different purposes and should not be conflated.
Precision in setup
- Rotary control of three principal welding parameters: depth, weld quality and width.
- Manufacturer-described factory preset welding settings for initial setup.
- Adjustable and savable settings for trained operators and repeatable applications.
- Single- or dual-wire feeding selected with the machine configuration.
Application qualification: Published penetration values are not unconditional guarantees of weld penetration, strength or acceptance. Confirm the material grade, joint design, filler wire, fit-up, welding parameters and inspection requirements for each application.
Single-Wire or Dual-Wire Feeding
Choose the wire-feeding configuration according to the required filler deposition, joint design and welding procedure. Both configurations are available for X60, X80 and X100.
Single-Wire Configuration
A conventional filler-wire arrangement for compatible laser welding procedures. The supplied single-wire Basic Package offer includes one digital feeder, wire guide and a 10 m fiber cable.
Dual-Wire Configuration
An alternative feeder configuration for selected joints where greater filler-metal deposition may be beneficial. Confirm exact accessories and feeding specifications for the dual-wire version before placing a special application order.

Industrial Applications and Welding Samples
The Master Pro X Series is intended for professional production and fabrication environments. Process suitability must be checked for each workpiece, especially where structural performance or documented weld acceptance is required.
Typical application environments
- Steel and stainless-steel fabrication workshops.
- Machinery and industrial-equipment manufacturing.
- Repair and maintenance of suitable metal components.
- Aluminium component manufacturing, after alloy and welding-procedure assessment.
- Production requiring filler-wire handheld laser welding.
Training, Warranty and Technical Support
System selection is only one part of a successful industrial installation. The manufacturer’s documented single-wire Basic Package includes training and support provisions.
Operator training
One day of training at the PhotonWeld training centre, for up to four participants, is included in the documented single-wire offer.
Technical assistance

Laser Safety, Installation and Delivery
High-power laser welding requires an appropriately assessed workspace, suitable laser protection and trained operators. PPE selection and installation controls must be based on the equipment, the actual hazard and the applicable safety assessment.
Before commissioning
- Confirm the model-specific power-supply requirements, interlocks and connection details.
- Assess the laser hazard and establish appropriate guarding, signage and operator access controls.
- Select suitable eyewear, face protection and other PPE for the actual laser specification.
- Provide suitable extraction or fume controls for the materials and process.
- Review the equipment instructions, conformity documentation and agreed training scope.
EU B2B purchasing: Listed webshop prices exclude VAT. Delivery is quoted or charged separately according to the agreed shipping method and destination. Special configurations, alternative fiber-cable lengths and application-specific accessories may require a separate quotation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common technical and purchasing questions about the PhotonWeld Master Pro X Series.
What is the difference between X60, X80 and X100?
The three versions have different welding-penetration classes. PhotonWeld lists standard-speed carbon- and stainless-steel penetration of 6 mm, 8 mm and 10 mm respectively. Maximum penetration at reduced speed is listed separately as 7 mm, 9 mm and 12 mm.
How do single-wire and dual-wire configurations differ?
Single-wire uses one filler-wire feed. Dual-wire is intended for selected welding procedures where additional filler-metal delivery is desirable. Exact joint suitability and accessory scope should be confirmed for the intended application.
Can the Master Pro X weld aluminium?
PhotonWeld includes aluminium in the machine family’s intended materials, but suitable penetration and welding procedure depend on the specific alloy and joint. Published aluminium thickness values should not be generalized across all grades.
What is included in the Basic Package?
The supplied single-wire offer lists a digital feeder, wire guide, 10 m fiber cable, connecting cables, starter consumables, specified safety equipment, training and support. Confirm the final packing list for dual-wire orders.
What is the difference between Comfort A and Comfort B?
Both are optional equipment extensions. Comfort A includes the documented OD7 face shield for use with suitable goggles, while Comfort B includes an auto-darkening laser welding face shield. Other specified accessories are listed in the package comparison above.
Are prices shown including VAT and delivery?
No. The webshop displays prices excluding VAT, and delivery is charged separately under the applicable checkout or quotation arrangements.
Can I request a special fiber-cable length?
The manufacturer’s single-wire offer mentions 15 m and 20 m alternatives to the standard 10 m fiber cable on request. Confirm availability, compatibility and any additional charges before ordering.
Is training included?
The documented single-wire Basic Package includes one day of training at the PhotonWeld training centre for up to four participants.
Need Advice on a Master Pro X Configuration?
For a specialized welding application, send the base material and alloy, section thickness, joint geometry, filler-wire requirements and intended production conditions. PhotonWeld can review the appropriate machine class and configuration before you order.
